Matt McGuire

Born and raised in St. Louis, Matt McGuire went off to Chicago to study painting and sculpture at The Art Institute of Chicago, band during his studies fell in love with food and wine while working in some of the cities' finest restaurants.

It was there that he developed his passion for cooking and taking great care of people.  Lucky for us, Matt returned to St. Louis in 1995 to launch his brainchild, the famous King Louie's Restaurant.

In over a thirteen year period, King Louie's grew to become one of St. Louis' finest and favorite restaurants garnering countless awards and accolades.

Now managing the team at Monarch Matt brings many years of experience in every facet of the hospitality business.
